Baltic Racing Team

The Baltic Racing Team of the University of applied sience Stralsund was founded in 1999 as the first german Formula Student Team and consists of 50 students from various fields including mechanical and motorsport engineering as well as electrical engineering and economics. These students are dedicated to their heart to build our now second full electric driven racecar. With nearly 25 years of experience in building racecars we are eager to make use of the newest and best technology to inspire new students for the art of designing and manufacturing racecars. The Baltic Racing Team therefore gives young people the chance to acquire technical and economical knowledge.

We aim to present our current formula student racecar, our TY24, at the Formula Student events , which take place at various places such as the Hockenheimring in Germany and Red Bull Ring in Austria. The Formula Student is the largest international design competition for young engineers. For this competition our team members not only face the challenge of building a racecar but also develop skills in project management, team leadership, public relations and business.

History

Through our history we build 20 combustion cars that achieved many top places in different categories at Formula Student competitions.

In 2022 the team pushed forward to take on the challenge from changing the internal combustion engine for an electric drivetrain. The first eletric car TY22evo was presented at the Hockenheimring in 2023 with the addition of our last combustion car TY23.

With our last two combustion cars we managed to achieve second place of the efficiency award in Germany 2021 and in Croatia 2023 as well as third place for accelaration in Austria 2023.

With our newly developed electric racecar we aim to stand on the top places once again.

Our Goal with PCBWay

For each car we design many different parts and for the implementation of such parts we rely on partners and supporters to help us with manufacturing. In motorsport we need reliable and high quality products so we see PCBWay as the perfect partner for the manufacturing of our PCB´s and CNC-parts to be sure of good quality and quick manufacturing.
