CrocoMarine's 2024 Draven
CrocoMarine
Team is Family
The team was established in 2016 by diverse students from Alexandria University, is a trailblazer in affordable, high-quality ROVs. We're dedicated to revolutionizing the underwater robotics industry. Our team tirelessly innovates, enhancing ROVs performance annually. Committed to providing cost-effective solutions, We design adaptable ROVs to tackle diverse challenges. pushing the boundaries of innovation. Our passion for excellence and to test our limits drives us to actively participate in prestigious international competitions like MATE ROV, UMVC, UWRC.
With Goodwill, Hardworking ... Comes Big Achievements

Meet Draven: our new ROV system
In this year, with our new ROV, we aim for success and more higher achievements
As always, our guiding principle revolves around acquiring, passing on, and implementing knowledge in new projects to enhance our skills and builds more advanced systems, all by our engineers hard work. In the current year, our engineering team focused on refining the electrical system, aiming to minimize wiring usage while ensuring optimal control and functionality. The system, crafted by our engineers, is comprised of two central PCBs:
1. Power Unit
This part is considered the heart of our system. this unit houses most of power interface like the power distribution system and it has all the system high power parts as well as the ESCs for motors are installed on this one with their power terminals and all needed protection
2. Control Unit
This board could be considered the brain of our system. it is equipped with a Raspberry Pi 4 Computing unit, Raspberry pi pico cameras ports and ports for driving the LEDs and other necessary mechanisms. Additionally, the board incorporates essential power conversion components to ensure seamless operations.
Our team would greatly benefit from the support of PCBWay. As a team specialized in designing and building ROVs for international competitions, we face challenges in the manufacturing parts within our student budget and timeline. We are always thankful and glad that PCBWAY sponsored our last two ROVs, and we would love to continue the journey with PCBWAY to infinity and beyond! as we reshape underwater exploration.
