What's FSAE?

FSAE was founded in Pontiac, Michigan by the Society of Automotive Engineers to let students get hands-on experience of the automotive world by having them operate a virtual company. FSAE is also an educational event with over 80,000 members from 97 countries worldwide involved in the automotive and aerospace fields.

What's Eagle Racing?

We work in a section of the thermodynamics laboratory with the backing of Sophia University Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

We design different parts using Creo Parametric 4.0 CAD software and various CAE programs.

We also participate in different sponsor meetings and events, and open campus events held at the university.

We have been producing ICV until recently, when we decided to switch our main propulsion system to an electric motor.

This is the vehicle currently in production.

Since our vehicle is powered by electricity, we have many electric circuits as the core of our vehicle. Here are some of our electric circuits that enable our vehicle to run smoothly.

Shutdown circuit

The shutdown circuit enables us to safely stop the vehicle if an anomaly is detected. The circuit can maintain the shutdown state indefinitely, until the safety is confirmed.

TSAL circuit

The TSAL circuit controls the lights that will show if there is a dangerous amount of high voltage current in the system. The circuit is configured so that under normal voltage a green light is illuminated, but when it detects voltage above certain threshold, red light is illuminated, warning us about the potentially dangerous high voltage current running in the system.
