Elbflorace (Formula Student Germany)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to introduce myself and the story of our success in
university racing sport. My name is Markus Fritzsche and I am
responsible for the electrical System. We are the
formula student team "Elbflorace" and consisting of about 60 students of the
Technical University Dresden in Germany.
Over the past few years Elbflorace developed into a professional
racing team, competing against the best FSAE teams of the world in the
electric class, winning the overall 4th Place in Formula Student
Spain and setting the all-time acceleration record in Formula
Student Germany (~2,2s 0-100kph). The single-seater is equipped with a
highly integrated AWD System, including all the benefits of driving
dynamic control systems, a full-vehicle aerodynamic package and suited
for the tires a suspension system as well.
With the electrification of a formula racing car the possibilities in
vehicle dynamic control and tuning are enormous, we currently use hall
sensors, gyroscopes, accelerometers, tire temperature infrared and
spring travel sensor to estimate our vehicle state and setup our car for
best laptimes.
The achievements of the car and especially the team is a product of the
hard work which was put in and having sponsors with technology and
knowledge at our side. The goal of this year's electronics is to refine
our existing system, to further improve overall performance and reliability.
Furthermore, we are planing, on integrating our Autonomous Team into our Electic Team,
to build a car, which is able to drive autonomously as well as with a driver.
Some of the PCBs, that we use in our car, are very hard to assemble. That leads to a higher probability of failure, which is especially for PCBs that controll and manage out accumulator and the sigle cells, critical for the funtionality of our car.
As you offer already asselmbled PCBs and have a good reputation in terms of reliability your products would perfectly fit for our project.
Therefore I would kindly ask for your help with our project, in form of a sponsorship.
We would very appreciate it working together with you and I can send you
further information about our team and how we could represent Your
company the best, if requested.
Kindest regards,
Markus Fritzsche
