About us

Hello, we are Equipe PAC Baja and we participate in the annual Baja SAE Brasil Regional and Baja SAE Brasil Nacional competitions. Currently our team has 48 members divided between administrative and project boards. As a result of our work, we are currently placed as one of the top 15 teams in the country.

Embedded electronics

Our last on-board electronics system was aimed at acquiring data from the prototype in real time, data such as engine RPM, prototype speed, transmission temperature, location via GPS, among others... The system used a centralized ECU board that was communicated with a display via UART protocol to sample data to the pilot and LoRa technology to send data to a telemetry laptop in the pit. With this system, the team achieved great results, even winning a prize in the project stage of the 2022 regional competition.

The new system

For the next season we are designing a new system, trying to get closer to the reality of automotive industry projects, we designed a distributed architecture, with several ECUs spread throughout the car, which communicate with a CAN network, guaranteeing data integrity in all ECUs . This also made it possible to expand the amount of data acquired by the system, implementing pressure sensors in the brake line, pedal positions, fuel and much more.

PCBWay has been helping us with the prototyping of the team's recent projects, as we are part of a public university in Brazil, financial assistance is essential for us to be able to move forward with the project.
