Gazi Mk.1
I am Fethi Tuğsan Aydoğdu, student in Gazi University Mechanical Engineering Department.
We have established a team called Yukselis, to join TUBITAK's Efficiency Challenge which is an international efficiency race like Shell Eco.
However, in this competition, jury demands from the competetors to design and manufacture their own electric powered motor. Therefore our team have started studies in December.
Hopefully we have accomplished some main milestones. Our project focuses on designing a motor, motor driver battery management system ,Electronic Differential and besides the circuits we will produce mechanical parts of this vehicle individually.. Our project have started with the interests of our team in designing and producing.
Gazi Mk.1 focuses on designing and manufacturing a vehicle for 2 people. Main considerations are made on efficiency of the vehicle.
-Motor
Electric motor is still in improvement phase and approximately 80 % workload has been successfully completed . During the design phase, essentially scientific literature and articles about electric motors were investigated. After evaluating the data from the mechanical design and motor drive parameters of the vehicle, the wheel diameter and the engine type and the motor diameter were determined which are suitable for the design of the vehicle. Subsequently, research and development and design activities were carried out on motor design, magnetic design and analysis, and material selection. During the design and development phase, programs based on the finite element method were used
-Motor Driver
The Motor Driver electronic card designing process has been finished and the 95% workload has been successfully completed. We have concluded the test driver and our circiut board is ready to be produces. The processor has been selected as STM32F103 because of its cost and in order to meet the demands of teams working in several different authorities. IR2110 integrations were used for card prototype.

-We will analyze the data by collecting all the data on the vehicle and sending it to the remote data monitoring center with the GSM module.
The parameters we aim to accumulate in the vehicle data collection system are;
• Temperature Information
• Current Information
• Battery Information
• Speed information
• Voltage Information
Apart from these parameters, there will be communication (gsm) module and memory card materials as seen in the circuit. We will transfer the measurements we obtain from these parameters to the led display in the pilot cabin and inform the driver.
-We will use the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 ASP.net platform to do the installation on internet servers via the GSM module. If we remove the general algorithm of this part:
Step 1: Perform the database connection
Step 2: Read the values from the Arduino software
Step 3: Split parametric parts
Step 4: Write all the parameters to the relevant fields in the database
Step 5: Show the records on the table
Step 6: Return to Step 2

As mentioned above, we are in the step of producing of these components together. However, financially we need support from your honorable company. We will use the donations you make to produce our motor driver and some other circiut boards that we need.
