Geodesic dome connector Hub

Such geodesic domes are quite popular on hacker festivals, but it is always hard to assemble them because you need some connectors for the vertices. The struts are easy to cut from wood, but the connection is difficult.

A common method of connecting the struts is by using these connector plates. They can be used for the 5- and 6-sided connections.

However, it is quite expensive to get the connector discs manufactured as it requires steel or aluminium alloy milling or stamping. Luckily, you can order extremely cheap aluminium PCB on pcbway, which are more cost effective than elsewhere. As it is manufactured as PCB, we can also add some components to it. 

This PCB also includes 4pcs WS2812B LED and 2 molex picoblade 1.25mmx6 connectors. The discs can be chained together and all LEDs can be individually controlled. Your dome will look great once it is installed. To provide enough power, you can use the micro USB plug to supply more power in regular intervals.
