IX University Tournaments of Robotics

The University Robotics Tournament (TUR) is a traditional event at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), a notorious brazilian university, which for years has attracted the attention of students and enthusiasts in the field.

The event occurs biannually and in 2024, TUR's ninth edition will take place on our university campus, from November 7th to 9th.

Historically, it is organized by UFU's Tutorial Educational Program (PET) of Electrical Engineering and it consists of a line follower robotics competition. In its ninth edition, TUR expands its horizons by introducing a new category: micromouse. Inspired by international competitions, the micromouse challenges participants to design autonomous robots capable of navigating complex mazes in search of the destination point as quickly as possible. With this addition, TUR not only diversifies its competitions but also promises to further elevate the level of innovation and challenge in the competition.

The event aims to be a transformative force in education through robotics, enabling students of all academic levels to develop technical and creative skills that will prepare them for future challenges.

The mission of TUR is to provide a dynamic and inclusive platform where students can explore, learn, and excel in the field of robotics. It seeks to inspire a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), promoting collaboration, problem-solving, and excellence in the field of robotics.
