Learning Math with Robotics – Educational Project
Founded at Escola Municipal José Rufino, the "Learning Math with Robotics" project aims to integrate mathematics, electronics, and creativity into public education in Vicência, Brazil. Our goal is to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century by developing skills such as logical reasoning, problem-solving, and teamwork.
This school year, we are launching the robotics team ZéRufinoBots, focusing on designing and creating electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs) for both practical and artistic purposes. This approach seeks to stimulate students' creativity while exploring the intersection of technology and art.
Summary of Activities
Students will design and produce PCBs for various purposes, including:
1. Functional Circuits: Basic electronic applications integrated with sensors and actuators.
2. Artistic Projects: PCB designs with decorative purposes, such as displays for school events.
Through this initiative, we aim not only to teach mathematics and electronics but also to prepare our students for future careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields.
Support from PCBWay
Support from PCBWay would be essential in providing our students with the opportunity to learn using professional tools and processes. This will enable them to understand the full cycle of PCB creation, from design to manufacturing, significantly enhancing their learning and engagement.
Impact on Student Development
With the implementation of this project, we aim to:
Inspire interest in careers in technology and engineering.
Demonstrate real-world applications of mathematical and scientific concepts.
Strengthen public education in our region.
We look forward to establishing a partnership that helps transform education through robotics and electronics.
