Project EC²G

Hi!

I'm a student on the last year of a technical high school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This year, if everything goes as planned, I will turn a Technician in Electronics. Me and my group are making a project for this year, involving all the concepts acquired during our stay at school. We are trying to develop a device that would let people, mainly those who have cardiac affection, to measure their own cardiac signal at any time and with a normalized and easy-to-use interface. The idea is to create a compact, ergonomic, practical, battery-powered device that also connects wirelessly to smart devices (mobile phones, PCs) to plot the signal produced by the patient's heart, enabling the user to take a snapshot of that signal and send it to his health professional of preference.

Our invention has been induced by the context of the pandemic, in which hospitals are overwhelmed. A device like this one we are presenting would help decompressing the health system, and could also provide the interface for early detection of potentially dangerous cardiac affections.

We are applying for the sponsorship because we want to run the necessary tests to generate the prototype of our device, and we need the PCB in order to start doing that. Besides that, our intention is to make the device as affordable as we can, in order to make it accessible to everybody.
