Hi, I’m an electrical engineering student at the University of California. Currently, I’m working on projects relating to health monitoring wearable devices. My research area is about developing non-invasive biosensors such as glucose sensor and heart pulse sensor.
About this project:
Fall is one of the most serious accidents for elders that might occur any time. Detecting the fall must have reliable and accurate surveillance to mitigate the negative effects of falls. This project develops the algorithm of the detection and wearable device. The system analyzes the elder’s physical normal and abnormal movements by an accurate algorithm and automatically send the emergency message through the Wi-Fi to a third person. But if the device has a false alarm there is a button to break off the alert. The device is convenient to be carried and not disturb normal activity.
