The Art Pad
The Art Pad is a school project to make an affordable entry into the world of tiny mechanical keyboards. The keyboard features a split design that is completed by flipping over one of the PCBs to form the right half of the keyboard, Kailh choc switches, a rp2040-zero, a few BAV70 diodes and a 3.5mm trrs jack to connect the halves. The keyboard is powered by the QMK firmware and features an Artsey.io layout that uses a series of key combonations to output a full keyboards worth of characters and symbols. The finished keyboard has an ultra low profile that makes it ideal for easy transport and costs less than $25 AUD to assemble!
