UPV/EHU Araba MotorSport - Motostudent
Hi there,
We are UPV/EHU Araba Motorsport, a student member team from the University of the Basque Country in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Our goal is to design and manufacture an electric racing prototype for the competition of Motostudent (https://www.motostudent.com/).
During two years, the team has to design and build a completely new prototype, following the same rules for all the universities that take part on the competition. As the prototype is electric, the electronics takes the lead into the developing ideas for this competition, using personalised BMS PCBSs and more electronicsd to complete the safety regulations on this category.
The team is formed by 30 students at the little Faculty of Engineering in Vitoria-Gasteiz and is competing since 2015, when first petrol prototype reached out Motorland, Aragon.
We design nearly all the main components of the bike, such as chassis and swingarm, battery pack and aero pieces. The electric motor is the same for every team and has a peak power of 55kW. The battery pack should apply 600A peak for those acceleration boost moments, so the main objective is to design a good and reliable battery pack.
Our webpage is https://www.arabamotorsport.eus/ for those who are interested in the project. Right now we are developing the bike that will be racing in October of 2025. It would be amazing if PCBWAY could help us with some PCB manufacturing and most important with CNC machining for copper and nickel sheets, that would compose our main busbar for connecting the lithium cells.
