University of Ottawa Electric Car Racing
### DESCRIPTION ( Introduce yourserlf and your project)
My name is Atinderpaul Kanwar, the vice-captain and sponsorships manager for our team UOE Racing. We are the University of Ottawa's Electric Car Racing Team on a mission to build the most efficent electric prototype car. This year, we will compete at the Shell Eco-Marathon, taking place in Sonoma, California from April 19-22. The Shell Eco-Marathon in California will be the best place to debut our prototype car to some of the world’s leading electric car companies Our team is consisted of over 15 people, who are dedicated and focus driven since the start of our semester. Our team consists of Electrical, Mechaical, Software and Computer Engineering students who have continusly supported our goals to build our car towards completion. Our team was selected because we all have the inspiration and want more experience to change the world. Since the automotive industry is directing itself towards electric vehicles, all our members are here to stand at the forefront the industry.
### TECHNICAL DETAILS (With project photos)
Our project this year is to build a highly efficient electric car for Shell Eco-Marathon Americas. To power our car we will be using a 48V 1000W BLDC Hub Motor, installed on 20in high efficiency Michelin wheel. We are currently in the process of designing our BLDC motor controller and accessory circuit for the car. Our BLDC motor controller is comprised of six MOSFETs, one 3 phase gate driver chip and a microcontroller. Our mosfet will be modulating about 50V at 3A continous and 50V at 20A surge.
### Words to PCBWay
Our team is a up and coming team in the University or Ottawa but we have already made leaps and bounds of progress. We already have a running prototype car and need PCBWay to complete our car and take it to the next level. In exchange for your support, PCBWay would be a sponsor to UOE Racing Team and would gain more publicity in our community and at our competitions.
