We love new technology at PCB Train and The Gadget Show Live @ Christmas at Earls Court, London looked to be a great event by all accounts, where over 150 companies showed off their latest tech.

The presenters of The Gadget Show were there, along with tech toys, the latest in games and consoles, and a chance to see some really successful Fifa YouTube gamers.

We’ve picked out three interesting bits of tech being exhibited there.

A Robot Dog is for life, not just for Christmas
Teksta, the robotic dog, is the Andrex Puppy for a digital generation. This intelligent robotic pet can recognise hand gestures, walk, stop, sit and even do a back flip. This toy pet has emotional intelligence too! Teksta has a variety of eye expressions to let you know how he’s feeling. He recognises sound, wags his tail and moves his eras when he’s happy. He also sits very still when he’s overwhelmed by lots of noise, as we discovered on Christmas day!

A Really Smart Phone
We were also excited by the new XperiaTM Z1 Smartphone from Sony (iPhone fans can skip this bit). It claims to have the same quality performance as a compact digital camera and comes with a full HD screen so you can watch your home movies in great quality. It’s waterproof too, which is handy for those of us who’ve ever dropped our phone in the sink.

Clever Camera
iON launched the Air Pro Wi-Fi at the show – a camera that lets you ‘shoot and share’. This unique looking camera is the third generation Air Pro with Wi-Fi connectivity and boasts a 12 megapixel image sensor. Apparently it can shoot up to 60 frames per second at up to 49 feet underwater, (although you’ll get better Wi-Fi on land). It retails for £349.99.

If you missed this show, there’s another chance to catch them all at the NEC in Birmingham on 9th- 13th April.
