The market volume is also expected to increase to 32 billion units and 3.92 million tons by 2018, growing at 3.8% and 5%, respectively. The PCB remanufacturing market is also expected to grow at an impressive CAGR of 41% during the forecast period.
Analyzing the competitive landscape of the global PCB market for 2012, IndustryARC is of the opinion that Japan's Nippon Mektron Ltd. had the top position with a market share of around 3.9%, followed by Taiwan-based Unimicron Technology Corporation with a share of 3.7%.
Considering the high level of market share fragmentation, the top six companies had a combined market share of only 18% in the industry.
