This special Shield as compatible holes to plug it in various ways to studs of LEGO(R) parts. It was designed for LEGO User Groups which present MOCs in glass protected displays. The LEDs connected to the Shield can be controlled by proximity swiches (up to 4 single switches or a four times board with one 6p wired between shield and the switching board). They can placed behind the glass and controlled from the other side. To hide the PCB of the switch, simply place a sticker on the glass (see photo). The long connector (2x16) allows to connect 16 LEDs to 8 channels directly without a limiting resistor (they are on the lower side of the PCB). A ULN2803 give more power to the outputs (500mA) and protect the Nano V3. The 2x8 pin connector is for extension purposes (8 channels without limiting resistors).
