Atari Joystick Tester
### DESCRIPTION
Simple joystick tester that can be used with all standard Atari-style joysticks and paddles, these pinouts were also used on the Commodore-systems including the Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga. Connect it up with a center-positive 5v supply with barrel plug, cheap powerbanks with suitable cables are great for this purpose. Use resistors with values between 220 and 470 ohms depending on type of LED used, if in doubt use something in the middle range (blue LEDs might be cool, but they are usually super-bright so use 470 for these).
LEDs light up according to the various directions as well as the fire-button, two extra buttons have been added as well since some controllers and joypads use them. Use slide switches to choose if you want these to be active, or if you want to test paddles instead (using multimeter set to measure resistance across testpoints). Other than that, not much to say about the thing other than that they are surprisably handy to have when doing maintenance on classic joysticks.
