Power Meter v4.1
Power Meter v4.1
I was inspired to design this board from a video I saw on the Internet, which will help us quantify the amount of current and voltage (and by simple calculations, the power) consumed by a given circuit. In this, a series of existing modules have been brought together, so that the assembly of the board is easier and faster, allowing individual tests to be carried out on each one of them.
The board has 4 buttons, whose purpose will be determined by the programming you want to give it. These buttons occupy the GPIO7, GPIO10, GPIO3 and GPIO4 pins.
The display occupies the I2C connection, whose associated pins here are GPIO9 (SCL) and GPIO8 (SDA). The INA219 module uses the same communication pins.
Materials:
- ESP32-C3 supermini
- 0.96" I2C OLED display (128x64)
- INA219 module (HW-831)
- 4-pin socket (optional, for the display)
- 2 2-pin terminals
- 2 DC jack connectors for PCB (DC-005)
- 4 SMD pushbuttons
Features:
- Simple and easy to assemble
- Useful for students and electronics enthusiasts
- Powered by USB type C cable (directly to the ESP32-C3 supermini)
- Current range allowed by the INA219: 0 - 3.2 A
- Voltage range allowed by the INA219: 0 - 26 VDC
- Free pins available for use (GPIO0, GPIO1, GPIO2, GPIO5, GPIO6, GPIO20 and GPIO21, plus VIN)
- It has four holes for mounting (if desired), whose measurements are for metric 3 bolts (M3)
PCBWay Service:
Both the circuit and PCB schematics were designed in KiCAD v8. The Gerber was then generated so that it could be sent to PCBWay for manufacturing (like all my boards that I have made). On this occasion, a green PCB with white silkscreen printing was chosen (the classic).
We received the PCBs in just 10 days (to Chile), and as always, the quality was exceptional.
It should be mentioned that during these ten years, PCBWay has distinguished itself by providing exceptional PCB manufacturing and assembly services, becoming a trusted partner for countless engineers and designers around the world.
Its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has been unwavering, leading to significant growth and expansion.
My advice: check out PCBWay here if you want excellent PCB service at an affordable price, you won't regret it.
