SPEEDO - Measuring Speed and Acceleration
SPEEDO:
Measuring speed and acceleration without acceleration sensor on your vehicle.
This project is based on precise time measurements using optical sensors and some computations the ESP32 processor is doing for us. The measuring method is accurate and universally applicable. Using optical sensors, it has great potential for a number of projects.
We were showing the principle, the mathematics, the accuracy and a number of tests in our YouTube videos. In addition, we are providing here the files for 3D printing a suitable casing.
BOM:
1x ESP32 WiFi Bluetooth Dev Kit
8x Optional: Resistor 330 Ohms 0,25W
8x Optional: Blue,Red, Green, Yellow, White LEDs
3x IR Proximity Sensor
4x Neodym magnets: diameter 12mm x 2mm
