Universal motor speed controller with acceleration control
This controller is intended for speed control on the engines of the washing machine. The controller is capable of delivering high engine power at low speed. From the P2 semi-adjustable potentiometer, the acceleration can be adjusted so that the speed increases slowly to the set speed.

Hi, your problem is the quality of the TDA1085 chips. The resistance between pins 8 and 9 should be somewhere between 60 and 80 Kohm. The voltage of 15.7 volts is not a problem, good chips can handle this voltage. I buy the chips from here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32853304606.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.59.29ab1802ec2ahf
Hi Mihaela, thank you for your fast response. Even if the chips can handle overvoltage, shouldn't I increase R17 from 270 to about 330 Ohms or so to lower VCC to the 15V specified? Could you pls recheck your link, it does not work for me; this seller company offers several TDA1085s, and I want to get the good ones you already checked out. You can put a higher resistance to lower the voltage. I assure you that the assembly can work with the voltage of 15.7 volts.
Thank you Mihaela for re-assurance of the supply voltage -> then, I will concentrate on to get real good TDA1085 chips. I checked the link to the selling platform you've provided above, but the system tells me that this product is not available in my home country - strange! I saw more than 20 other suppliers of TDA1085 chips in this selling platform, but it seams that all are Asian vendors offering newly remaked chips, but not original chips - even though some are showing original brands on the package. And I guess that all those vendors will not tell me the resistance value between pins 8 & 9 as you ref. a. to differentiate between good / bad chips. Do you have any more detailed info re your or other vendors of good TDA1085 chips? Thank you for your ongoing help! Br, Rolf
I do not recommend you to buy from other suppliers, apart from the one specified by me from the AliExpress platform. I have also tested other tda1085 vendors, most of them sell poor quality chips.
Hi Mihaela, I would love to buy from your source in AE platform, but everytime when I click on your link in the mail of June 11th, the AE system tells me: "Unfortunately, this item is currently unavailable in your location". Therefore, could you pls provide me with the name of the supplier or of the company in the AE platform that leads to your source? If you search for TDA1085 in AE, all listed suppliers are given by the name of their stores. Maybe I can access your preferred supplier over this way? Thank you again! Br, Rolf

I'm sorry, I can't help you.
The board is ok, if the engine is running at full speed, the problem may be TDA1085. Check the resistance between pins 8 and 9, it must be between 65 Kohm and 80 Kohm. Another probable cause for your problem may be the quality of the triac used.
