Version 2: 2364 2332 2316 Universal Re-Programmable Replacement ROM
This is Version 2 of my 2364_2332_2316 Universal Re-Programmable Rom Replacement. It uses the 28C64 or 28C256 EEPROMs, which are still in active production, instead of the SST32SF010A in the Version 1 board.
The jumper layout and functions are the same as the previous version and this version functions identically to the Version 1 board, except for the total size being 64 or 256kbit instead of 1Mbit on the Version 1 board. If you would still like to use the Version 1 board, the link to it is here:
This board is designed to replace the old 2364, 2332, and 2316 mask roms and pin compatible EPROMs used in many retro computers. The board has solder jumpers that allow you to change the chip select pins from active low to active high and to change between the different pinouts of the mask roms. After the chip has been programmed, you can use the pogo-pin target pads to allow ROM switching. In order to program the 28C64/256 you will need to build the 2364_2332_2316 ROM Programming Adapter. Here is the link to that project:
There are example jumper settings in the Other Files section on the right side of this page.
The link to the Version 2: 2364, 2332, 2316 Universal ROM Programming Adapter is here:
The programming adapters for the Version 1 and Version 2 boards are NOT compatible.
This board has been tested and confirmed working in the following machines: Commodore C64- Char, Kernel, and Basic ROMs, Commodore VIC20- Char, Kernel, and Basic ROMs,TRS80 Model 4 2316 "Rom C", Atari 2600 game cartridge ROMs, IBM 5150 roms (requires closing jumper J3 to connect /OE and /CS), and it should be able to replace any mask rom or eprom chip with the same pinout.
Please watch my YouTube video talking about the project here:
