arduFPGA V1.0 game console
This project has begin as a retro gaming console for my own usage but being capable to do some more functions if necessary.
The board is designed around a LATTICE iCE40UP5K and on the GIT is available for download some ATmega32U4 soft cores designs with the necessary IO’s to run unmodified arduboy games and many other applications, also includes a VS1011b audio decoder footprint to be populated in case you want to play music or create projects with sound generation loaded from uSD or create games with more complex sounds.
On the GIT repository you can find all necessary designs and firmware's to make it run, as a short description, the board uses two stage boot-loader, one that work in background even when the user application run ( like a bios ) as stage one boot-loader and one with a UI for browsing the uSD memory card and load application's and designs into the on-board design & application FLASH memory.
The boot-loaders are designed such a way that at every application load can load its own design.
Click on https://community.arduboy.com/t/ardufpga-game-an-arduboy-fpga-clone-with-audio-decoder/8892 to go to a thread where we can discuss issues and ideas of designs to be developed for this little board.
