Flexible PCB (FPCB) and handset chassis maker Ichia Technologies has reported revenues of NT$1.02 billion (US$33.58 million) for March, up 23% sequentially and 52.6% on year.
For the first quarter of 2014, revenues amounted to NT$2.78 billion, increasing 1.5% on quarter and 53.8% on year.
Strong FPCB shipments contributed to the revenue growth in March, said Ichia, adding that FPCB sales totaled NT$923 million in March, up 22% from the previous month.
Sales will remain strong in April as orders for FPCBs from downstream clients have continued to pour in, Ichia said.
Ichia plans to continue to expand its backend SMT production lines in 2014 with the year's capex budget set at no higher than NT$500 million.
