As we all know, payment is a necessary part of our online shopping. PCBWay as a fast PCB manufacturing company based on the user-friendly web interface, offers different kinds of payment methods for our clients. Today we’re glad to have Karen here to help us answer some questions about Making Payment at PCBWay.

Q1：What kinds of payment methods are accepted at PCBWay?

Karen: Well, on our website you can use the following payment methods:

1. Paypal: It's an easy ,fast and secure way of making payment.

2. Bank Wire transfer:To make payment via bank wire transfer, you need to visit your nearest bank branch with the wire transfer information. Your payment will be completed 3-5 business days after you have finished the money transfer.

3. Credit Card:You can pay directly with different types of credit cards, such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, etc (Maestro, e-Carte Bleue, CB).

4. Aliexpress, it’s a method for some clients that don’t accept the above ways. You can contact your service rep to make payment via Aliexpress platform which may include around 8.7% aliexpress fee of the total payment.

Q2: Regarding to Paypal payment, what kind of credit cards can we use with PayPal?

Karen: You can use Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express to make PayPal payments.

To make it even more convenient for the future orders, you can directly bind your bank accounts with Paypal, then it'll become much easier for you to keep track of your transactions since Paypal sends you a receipt every time a payment is made from your account.

Q3: What is 3D protection? Can you give us a brief introduction about it ?

Karen: Sure, 3D Secure is a FREE service facilitated by VISA and MasterCard that lets you transact online securely using your Debit or Credit Card. This service is available only on 3D Secure merchant sites. Verified by Visa (VBV) / MasterCard SecureCode (MSC) use password protection during an Internet purchase to authenticate the customer as an added fraud prevention measure.

Q4: Keran, since our clients are from differet countries of the world and they use different currencies. Is it possible to use their local currency to proceed with payment at PCBWay ?

Karen: You might find that all product prices and shipping costs on PCBWay are quoted in US Dollars (US $).

However, British Pounds (GBP￡), Euro (EUR €), Russian Ruble (RUB руб.), Canadian Dollar (CA $), Australian Dollar (AU $), Japanese Yen (￥) and Swedish Krona are also accepted when you pay by credit/debit card. And the currency of your transactions will automatically get converted into the US Dollar. There might be a fee charged from your bank when the convension is performed. So please consult your bank for more details if you have any question about it.

Q5： I rememer some clients once sent a feedback saying they failed to make payment. So my next question is Under what circumstances will payment fail? How to deal with it?

Karen: If you failed to make payment via Paypal, there could be the following reasons, like :

Payment method has insufficient funds

The card has been reported as lost or stolen by the cardholder

The payment method associated with your PayPal account was declined

You can find the exact cause in Paypal help center (https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/home), or contact the paypal support team to confirm what exactly happened. 

For the credit card or debit card, you can also check if your card has expired or your payment has exceeded your card’s limit.

If you got an error notice on the checkout page, please confirm all of your card information is corret and try it again. If this doesn’t work, you can try changing the card or browser have another try.

Q6: Why was the wrong amount deducted from my account?

Karen: PCBWay only charges users the amount in the order confirmation page and will not charge any additional fees.

If extra money has been deducted from your account, it may due to:

- exchange rate change

- service fee or transaction fee charged by bank

- supportive currency of your card is A, while order payment is in currency B, which may cause more transaction fee. Eg: if your card only support transaction in USD while order was paid through RUB. The transaction will be converted for further processing and extra money may be charged for every conversion.

If you're still unclear about this deducted amount difference, please double check with the bank for the real reason of it.

Q7:  When placing orders at PCBWay, we might face a situation like, After the order has been paid successfully , the status shown on the website still stays Awaiting Payment, why ?

Karen: Mostly we will start fabrication as soon as receiving the payment. If you choose Wire Transfer ,Western Union,other bank payment methods, you need to notify your service rep with the PCBWay order number when the payment has been made, so we can start production and change the order status in time.

Wire Transfering normally takes 7 business days for us to receive your payment after your wire transfer. Please check your order status again in approximately 7 business days after making payment.

The status of your order should now change to Paid. If this is not the case, please contact us and submit your bank remittance slips.

Q8: When the order was placed via aliexpress, why it usually takes some time to be verified?

Karen: To ensure the security of your payment, all orders on AliExpress will be verified. If you paid for your order by credit card, this process will take no longer than 24 hours. Once your payment is verified, we will start preparing your order for production in time. If we failed to verify your payment, your order will be automatically cancelled.

If after 24 hours your order has still not been verified, please contact our Customer Service Team.
