18650 2S2P Battery Charger and Protection
This product was designed as a breakout power board for portable projects. I'm currently working a few medium sized projects which needed a reliable battery power supply with USB-C charging faster than 1A, and with a 5V output. This board was designed as a one-size fits all solution to these projects and provides the following features:
- Four 18650 Lithium Cells in a 2S2P configuration (allows high capacity and buck conversion to 5V)
- USB-C charging (charging current of 1.5A - configurable by choice of RISET resistor value - see schematic)
- Automatic balanced cell charging
- Battery protection chip for overvoltage, overcurrent and overdischarge protection
- 8.4V to 5V buck conversion for stable 5V output at high current draw
- 4 seperate GND and +5V output pin sets
