Advanced BadUSB with WiFi and SD Card Storage
When an ordinary BadUSB is plugged into a computer, it executes previously specified commands. It provides the user with limited access and does not allow additional commands to be added later. Additionally, the biggest problem is that the computer does not recognize the device as a USB flash drive. This allows a conscious user to easily realize they've fallen into a trap.
With the Advanced BadUSB project, the user can remotely control the BadUSB thanks to the USB communication and WiFi/Bluetooth capabilities of the ESP32-C3 chip, and the computer perceives the device as a real USB flash drive through the use of a Micro SD Card. Additionally, the device can be programmed without the need for an additional tool thanks to the CP2102N chip.
In the project, a device using multiple USB protocols is placed on a single PCB, and the Fe1.1s USB Hub chip is used to connect it to the computer via the USB socket. This allows the ESP32-C3, CP2102N, and Micro SD Card to be connected to the target with a single connection point.
