AxxSolder STM32 based DIY soldering controller
AxxSolder is a STM32 Based soldering station for JBC cartridges which takes 9-24 VDC or USB-PD power.
The soldering controller uses the extremely well-performing JBC style cartridges (C115, C210 and C245). These JBC style cartridges allows for a very good thermal heat conductivity and temperature stability. The handle pieces (NT115, T210 and T245) has very good ergonomics, they are light weight, have a short tip-to-grip distance and are of superb quality. Only problem is that a commercial stations such as the CD-2BQF is very expensive. There are other cheaper stations out there to drive these cartridges but they often lack a proper way to ground the tip of the soldering iron in a correct way. No tip grounding means a huge ESD risk when working on your latest project.
AxxSolder solves this issue with a design made from scratch by AxxAxx(me) while also implementing dual power. Either a 9-24 V DC source or USB PD can be used for on the go! For this reason, two different enclosures are designed, a portable version and a station version and the community is continuing to design more!
The max power output is determined based on which type of cartridge is detected - 130 W for C245, 65 W for C210 and 22 W for C115 and is regulated with a PID controller. Many different settings can be configured in the settings menu and saved to non-volatile flash memory.
