CO2 Monitoring System
I've decided to create this project as my graduation thesis, I'm Computer Science student in Italy who has always loved electronics.
The main purpose of the project is to monitor the CO2 quantity in the air with low budget components, to be able to prevent Cov-19 infections with a group of people in an indoor closed environment. Even if simple, the PCB Design was only a collateral part of the project that was focused on an application created by me "CO2-Monitor" which interacts with an online Time-Series Database hosted by InfluxDB. That DB is subscribed to an MQTT broker I've specifically created to register the big data produced by the sensor. At the end of the process, the app is able to notify people who has registered a specific sensor in their Sensors-pool if the CO2 level in the specific room is too high and is needed to open the windows for few minutes.
For this last reason the PCB presents a button to restart the sensor from the resistences' heating, a green led to indicate that the sensor is communicating with the MQTT broker, and finally a red led to signal a malfunction or an alarm depending on the blinking method.
