  • Hi Jules, what are the dimensions of this board? Trying to squeeze it into a different body.

    Jules Ryckebusch 2025-03-29 22:41:51Reply

It is 53mm by 38mm with a taper

  • Hello, just ordered a few for myself, thanks for your work! I wonder, will it fit in U87 body?

    Jules Ryckebusch 2025-03-29 22:40:18Reply

It fits U87 style donor bodies, not sure of a real U87. And, I'm not taking mine apart to find out ;-)

  • Hello, can i use this board for AKG C414 B-ULS capsule?

    Jules Ryckebusch 2025-02-21 09:56:29Reply

Yes, you will need a bias generator board as well. See my Hex Inverter one

  • I just ordered boards from PCBWAY. I wish your parts list included the part location on the board. ie C1, R1 etc. I ordered 50. White with black silkscreen.

    Jules Ryckebusch 2025-01-20 20:47:25Reply

The part numbers are on this silk screen.

Thanks. I figured that out eventually. :) I wonder if I can order boards partially assembled. ie IC1.

  • Hi Jules, and foremost thank you for your work! One question, could the 63V caps be replaced by 50V ones like those muse caps from nichicon?

    Jules Ryckebusch 2024-10-25 18:00:50Reply

    Yes, you will be fine.

    Engineer 2024-10-31 15:35:49Reply

    Great, thanks!

  • Hello, purchasing the circuit board is not possible, please check

    PCBWay Team 2024-06-19 09:31:57Reply

You can click Add to cart in the upper right corner, then enter the quantity you want, click calculate, then save to cart, and wait for successful review and payment.

  • Hello, is there any way to download the gerber file?

    Engineer 2024-05-20 03:19:20Reply

I can see that you have requested the GERBER files more than once over a 2-year period with no response back to you. I really don't think that anyone here is going to provide you with any GERBER files of of this PCB because then they will feel left-out of making any money off of you!!! "MONEY" is the name of the game!!! /

  • Hi Jules, is there an SMT Version available? Thank you Best Lars

    PCBWay Team 2024-03-28 09:07:30Reply

If you want a PCB with assembled components, you can click PCB+Assembly in the upper right corner and place an order.

    Engineer 2024-03-28 15:35:12Reply

Thank you, you just manufactured 5 pieces for me as you can see from my account. I was asking about SMT, not through hole, thank you

    PCBWay Team 2024-03-28 17:24:37Reply

    OK, I get it.

  • Hi, guys I tried this build but after a second or two i hear static build up and gets louder and louder. i use a focusrite and use monitoring to listen to the mic. if you guys need any more info let me know.

  • Does using this dual OPA circuit and hex inverter work for a large condenser capsule 34mm? My preferred capsule is not duel channel with the circuit you have.

    Jules Ryckebusch 2023-07-24 19:43:48Reply

The "Dual" refers to the Dual opamp. a bit confusing and I would name it differently if I could do this over. This and the hex inverter will work with a 34mm capsule. That is what I show in the follow up instructable. https://www.instructables.com/True-Condenser-OPA-Mics/

  • Hi Jules, so a couple questions for now, so in the latest parts list it shows C2 and C3 not needed, is this correct? Also, what does the Dua mean on the board? Is this board capable of the mid side circuit? One last question, is there a newer board than the Version 1.0? I thought there was a newer version, if so dang it I ordered 50. Hope that wasn't an Ooops, LOL. Thanks, Bruce

    Jules Ryckebusch 2023-06-22 18:48:09Reply

This is the board I used for the instructable with through hole components. C2 and C3 are needed and are 47uF capacitors. I will double check the BOM. Dual means Dual op amp. Probably should have chosen better nomenclature.

    James Grayshon 2023-07-12 15:54:15Reply

C2 and C3 are still sadly missing and update would be great.

    Jules Ryckebusch 2023-07-13 18:44:09Reply

They are in there as of now. The Instructable had them as well.

  • In the BOM, why is the quantity for 47uF 63V listed as 10* instead of 3?

    Jules Ryckebusch 2023-06-22 18:42:56Reply

LOL,I did this is because buying a quantity of ten from mouser was cheaper than four. I hand created the BOM for individual builds. Jules

  • Hi there, Thanks for putting this together. Couple of comments though, the two 6.2V Zeners (D1&D2) are missing from BOM (I know they are only used instead of 12 V, indicating that in BOM would be helpful), also having the component labels (R1,R2,D1,D2 etc.) on the BOM would be nice, they are also missing from the thru-hole schematics. The SMD version of the board schematic has them referenced though and seem to match the thru-hole version.

    Jules Ryckebusch 2022-11-03 19:08:37Reply

Yes, I need to update the BOM to reflect the actual component numbering. It's on my to do list lol, time to move it up!

    Engineer 2023-03-20 00:11:27Reply

Hi I just got my PCBs and am wanting to make sure I got this right: if I use a 12v zener then it goes in D3 and I leave D1 and D2 empty, no jumpers? and if I use two 6.2v zener they go in D1 and D2, and I leave D3 open with no jumper? just wanting to make sure I do it right, cheers!

    Jules Ryckebusch 2023-03-20 19:18:01Reply

    That is correct.

  • Hello, I have a question. Is there a way to get access to the gerber files? I have to make some small adjustments to the board in order to fit the components I ordered. Thanks!

  • Thanks, Jules for this outstanding project, clean and easy. I am a big OPA fan so I will build quite a few of those.
