  • What materials do you recommend to use in the print order for this?

    Reply
  • After 3 orders of various printing materials I recommend 3: •Somos Ledos (Resin) •UTR 8220 (Resin) •Nylon PA12 (SLS) Care with this option highest strength and thoughtness but it have some "texture" finish and only 3 of 5 prints worked other 3 material deformation. Wanting you read this before ordering

  • After trying to have PCB way print these I am getting feedback from them that several areas are too thin. Here's an example: There is an engineer question need your confirmation. See pic attached, the wall thickness at the arrow mark is too thin and there is a risk of breakage during printing. We suggest to enlarge the wall thickness to be 1 mm(pls send the revised file back for checking again). Or we just follow the file to produce with accepting the risk. I got similar responses from PCBWay's engineers on all three prints. Is this expected?

Hi Kyle, First, the image shown is not of these final revision files - that mid plate no longer looks like that, I would highly recommend going for the final version They always say this to me, but I’ve never had an issue with a print of it, they just have preferred tolerances if you print as is there shouldn’t be issues. Warning though, if you’re opting for a combination of transparent AND color dyed on a single piece, there’s a very high chance of warping even on the areas not pointed out so I would avoid that option Cheers Joe

Thanks for the quick reply Joe! I'm a complete novice as far as 3d printing. In my order it says the CAD file is "GachaSP Mid 1APR24.stl" which looks like it matches the file name here. I'll reach out and see if they picked the wrong file over there on their side.

I've looked closer at both of the images PCBWay attached and both the top and mid case images they are using look like the Original revision not Final, but both of the file names in my order match the file names on this page for the Final Revision. I am trying to work with them to use the correct files, Thanks!
