Home Utilities Consumption Optimizer
The world is going through a period of great turmoil:
Geopolitical crises, such as the Russian-Ukrainian war that is impacting everyday life to a greater or lesser degree.
But also environmental crises, with the effects of global warming becoming increasingly evident in the form of destructive weather events.
Macroscopic indicators of this situation are trends in Energy prices, but also the level of CO2 emissions.
Never before has it become necessary to combat waste, both to reduce consumption and thus co2 emissions into the atmosphere, and to save money on utility bills.
Home Utilities Consumption Optimizer is an IoT device designed with savings in mind: the goal is to decrease consumption and increase the efficiency of older home heating systems based on wall radiators.
HUCO can be installed on old wall radiators by using adapters and going directly to the manual valve. Thus, technician intervention is not required.
Once installed, a temperature sensor is placed on the radiator, while another sensor node (consisting of temperature and humidity sensor) will be the indoor room temperature reference.
Once the installation of the hardware components is finished, the configuration wizard will be run:
- connection to the WiFi network
- MQTT configuration
- definition of usage profile.
