PB1 - Prototyping Board with Ground Plane and Power Supplies
This board is for prototyping circuits using wire wrap. It has a good ground plane and power supplies for +12V, -12V, and +5V.
There are pads for two trimpots (3362) and a pushbutton switch. For the trimpots I use pins from a wirewrap socket so I can wirewrap to them and change the trimpots.
For other pins that I want to wirewrap to I use either a T49 pin from Vector Electronics or, much cheaper, the pins from headers. On eBay the headers are called 2.54mm Male PCB Single Row Straight Header Strip Connector Arduino. The pins are smaller than standard wirewrap pins but they are square and seem to wrap ok.
The ICL7660CPA is only good for 10-15mA. If you need more than that use an LT1054 and change R2 and R3 to 10 Ohms (or so). The LT1054 is good for 100mA.
If you are not already a Maker (and you want to be one) see my tutorial on Making Things at www.jmargolin.com/making/jm_making.htm
Now go out and do something splendid.
