Hello. Yes, you can use it for SG-1000 as well.
I am using 74ls139 and does not work the pcb, do I need the 74HCT139? it is absolutly necesary?
LS works well. Which eprom are you using? You should set the bridge pins accordingly. Have you installed the ram ?
If you use the onboard 32KB sram, you should put some solder on the bridge in the bottom side called "SRAM installed". If you don't use any SRAM, leave that bridge clean.
Will send you, if you do not mind, photos of my Frankestein, i am using a sega master system NTSC with an adapter made from a cartridge (the only one i have and found) of CHAMPION GOLF from sg-1000, i already modify one of your pcb to work with that eeprom (w27c257) and an eprom (m27c256) i even have at28c256, my problem is that i can not made your original design works, maybe i need to do more research, the roms that i found on internet does not works too, and i don not know why.
I really appreciate your pcb design and help.
DONE!!! already done, from your orignal design i just cut the trace from !RD (B5), solder a trace form pin 20 (eprom) to B10 (output from an OR 7432 gate) and another trace from A15 (B19) to pin 22 (eprom), i made 2 versions, one with a 7404 NOT gate for A14 (B18) from a very weird original sega PCB and rom and one for almost all of the internet roms, consider that B10 is an output from an OR gate that came from !CE and !MO-7 inputs to !CE (eprom pin 20) output.
Your design are flawless, thanks for shared.
Greetings from Tijuana, Mexico.
Hi mate, how can I help you? Just remove the solder mask from the connector or something else? A jumper to enable/disable internal ram?
Thanks so much for the reply! Removing the solder mask from the edge is perfect, thank you, it will save the engineering question interaction for future people. A Jumper to enable/disable internal RAM sounds interesting. I was able to get games and Basic II working but not Basic lvl III on my system, so I'm wondering how this might affect it.
Yesterday I updated the board. There isn't a jumper but a bridge. Removed solder mask. Enjoy!
