Single Layer ESP32 DevKit
Single Layer ESP32 Devkit Board
Currently in it's conceptual stage, this project is about building a single layered ESP32 Devkit module for any custom project requirement.
With increased form factor (7.45 cm x 4.95 cm), this board serves as a POC that a complex multilayered Development board for ESP32 modules can be redesigned into a DIY single layered PCB.
The stepping stone that laid the foundation to this project was a corporate client project that our company was handling. The hardware design team was working with an ESP32 module and they needed it's development board design but on a single layer since there were a lot of electrical components around the PCB. They feared it might effect the performance of the ESP32 and needed a single layer design to solve the issue. Although the presented design is not fully integrated into their PCB, a part of it was utilized and lead to successful completion of the project.
The presented design is currently still in it's improvement/ testing phase.
