Ten Minute Transmitter
A simple QRP CW transmitter built in less than ten minutes. Only eight components and an output power of around 700mW @ 12V or 500mW @ 9V. The power output depends on the transistor used and also on the frequency of the crystal. I had around 350mW on the 80m band and around 750mW on the 40m band as an example. It's a great project for beginners in building amateur radio equipment. The original schematic was published in Sprat 82 / 1996 by G4RAW. The transmitter does not have a low pass filter, so you will need a band specific one depending on the crystal used. In the blog article you will find more detailed info and instructions. The transmitter also needs a heatsink for the 2N2219A transistor and a 1000pF variable capacitor. If ordering the assembled version from PCBWay, these two will not be provided. You must buy them separately. Please read the notes from the BOM file.
