  • Would 2 Texas Instruments SN65HVD230DR chips work instead?

  • Works exactly as intended on a 2005 XC70 with a CEM model 30728542. PIN was cracked in 1,433 seconds.. Perfect! And thank you.

  • I am somewhat confused as to pin next to 5v (marked "G" on the Bosch diagram) is not not used on this PCB. Instead the G pin is utilized to "B" on U1 and U2. I assume this is OK in this scenario?

Can i buy two SN65HVD230 CAN Boards and remove their chips to put in this circuit

Also, where are the resistors r3 and r4 meant to be placed on the circuit

  • Hello! Is there no need in your PCB design to use the pair of 10 kΩ resistances (R1 and R2 on the diagram at https://github.com/vtl/volvo-cem-cracker)?

    wondering this as well

I found the answer elsewhere: the resistors aren't needed when connecting via OBDII (only if you plan to connect directly to the CEM on the bench). Now I don't know how to run the code and do the actual cracking...

Are the resistors r3 and r4 needed?

  • What are all the parts for this? I'd like to order this assembled. Thanks
