ATTiny85 Foot Pedal Controller
What?
This is simple test circuit for reading the position of old sewing machine foot pedal (low voltage version with 3.5mm plug, not the older dimmer-style pedal). Two outputs are for controlling LEDs and Solid State Relay.
Circuit
Circuit is supposed to have a panel mounted 3.5mm mono jack with switched sense-pin. Usage is explained more thoroughly in the video.
ATTiny85 reads the analog reading from foot pedal circuit and can read the pedal's position and detect short circuit, open circuit and unplugged foot pedal connector based on that one ADC reading.
There is one screw terminal with open collector output and fixed 5V for LEDs. Second screw terminal has one pin connected to ground and one is connected to GPIO pin of ATTINY85. Second screw terminal is supposed to be connected to solid state relay's input.
Limitations
This was designed for my own testing purposes with specific application in mind. Not a general purpose all-in-one board for all the possible applications. With theory introduced in the video below, you can design more specific circuits, if this one doesn't cut it for you.
