Description
Arduino compatible LoRa board.
This board was designed for a LoRa workshop, cheap and easy to assemble by hand (the microcontroller has a friendly package).
You can use it on a breadboard to test sensors, to build fast prototypes, for a LoRa workshop at a local maker space, etc...
It contains 3 main components:
- ATmega4808: the microcontroller, to use it with the Arduino IDE you need MegaCoreX: https://github.com/MCUdude/MegaCoreX and an UPDI programmer.
- RFM95W: a low cost LoRa module.
- TPL5010: it is a timer IC, its function is to wake up the microcontroller periodically. Thus, the microcontroller can sleep in its lowest power mode minimizing battery comsuption.
The board is powered by 2 AA (or AAA) batteries that can last several years.
