ArmaLamp - Armageddon resistant night lamp
ArmaLamp Aims to Brighten Up Those Dark Post-Apocalypse Nights
Designed to harvest sunlight during the day and emit a bright white light at night, this simple circular circuit is a disaster must-have.
A supercapacitor is charged via Schottky diode,
This current also disables [the] step up booster. In night or if it lose[s] power booster is automatically started and very effectively discharge[s the] supercapacitor and convert[s] almost all stored energy because [it] can work until 0.3V.
Circuit as "extremely simple" for reasons of reliability,
while the current circuit design could be further optimized to reduce its footprint.
On the board are six plastic photodiodes, which act as the solar energy harvester,
a 10F supercapacitor, a power-management chip, and a single LED
FEATURES
- 6x BPW34 photodiodes aka solar cell
(plastic diodes, more resistant to damage against glass solar cell)
-Up to 20F supercapacitor
(You can use bigger capacity but 20F is optimal for charge in one sunny day)
-4 hours operation in night depends on LED intensity
-Auto night on
-Step up converter effective use all stored energy, discharge scap until 0.3V !!!!!!
-Output is activated in night
-Extremely simple
-Adjustable output voltage and current
-Supercapacitor have much more life compared to Li-ion battery about 500 000 to 1mil cycles

-fit in plastic sample jar with 2x 1F capacitors

it have no extra sense, because coin cell caps are max 2F and 5V, it is equal to this 4F at 2.5V but for charge to 5V you need double solar cells to 12pcs. You can use in this setup larger supercap etc 10F-20F is posible to charge in one day, I am use 2x1F which exactly fit in to jar.
