  • Not my design, but an alternative case for this controller which supports the onboard DB9 controller. In addition, this design is free https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6667640

  • Be aware that the printable gamepad housing does not fit with the DB9F 9-pin connector installed on the board, your cable will have to be wired directly to the PCB pin terminals from the top/front (opposite side of where the DB9F is shown positioned) or it will not fit in the linked gamepad design. I don't have my own 3d printer, so I had to outsource the job and purchased 4 gamepad housings but didn't learn this information until after I had paid for the prints and received them in the mail. In the future, I hope this information is helpful to someone as I wish I had also known this ahead of time.

  • Nice. Would like too how this would look with a case. Good as a spare joystick or for some games where joypads are better. Would it be difficult to add an toggle switch for auto fire? I imagine this is quite tiny, being under 10cm to keep in pcbway lower limit?

Yes you are right 99.1mm x 22.9mm. There is no auto-fire feature because I don't want +5V in the circuit, Since there is no +5V, it can be used without a box. A separate auto-fire module can then be added via the connector. Thank you so much.
