  • Dear Retrofixer,

I tried to finalize an order to this project, but I got this message from PCBWay when their clarification finished::
"Information in the BOM list is not enough,
Please supply the complete information of the components in BOMS.
(The IC part needs to complete the model or Resistance required size.)"

Maybe they are confused about U1 naming, that it is only a socket? The Resistor producer and resistance clearly statd, maby they need voltage too?

Could you be so kind to check it?

Thank you for your kind help in advancel

    Best Regards MMS

    Dear Customer,
We have the sorted BOM here, and your sales representative will send you a quote later.

  • The "Commodore 16 RAM expansion 64Kb solderless on TED" extension does not work with the MOS 8501 processor replacement made according to the project "Commodore C16 and Plus MOS8501 to MOS6510/8500 CPU Adapter" https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/Commodore_C16_and_Plus__8501_to_6510_CPU_Adapter.htmlI Is there any way to fix this problem?

I would not know. I'm making a video to check the various replacements for the 8501. I could also test with the RAM expansion and see how they behave with it.

I just watched your video on Youtube about the processor replacement in Commodore 16 - solution with mos 6510/8500. I really liked this video that describes the topic in detail.

Thanks, I divided the video into three parts because it was very long. I tried to test the main things and the two memory expansions. The second part will be released on Saturday with two 6502/8501 adapters. The Saturday after the last episode with one of the best 6502A/8501 adapters and the FPGA

I have a replacement in the FPGA version. Strange thing. My Plus4 started with FPGA, but after entering DIRECTORY or Dload the computer hung. On two C16 copies the same (with the original 8501 processor installed everything worked ok) I thought something was wrong with the uploaded software in FPGA. Only on the third C16 with the revB board everything worked correctly - I haven't checked with the 64kb TED memory expansion yet. I'm waiting for your next videos on this interesting topic.
