DdD - Domes Day Duplicator Rev 3
Note: Requires offshelf DE0-Nano & FX3 USB boards and a Shielded Case is highly recommended.
Featuring 10bit 40msps (20mhz) real-time capture output over USB 3.0 the Domesday Duplicator strikes a balance between functionality & cost-effective RF capture for modulated video or HiFi signal sources.
The Domesday86 project originally developed the Duplicator (DdD) to capture the BBC 1980s ‘’DomesDay’’ Laserdiscs, originally used solely with LD-Decode a software suite built for decoding and time base correcting of laserdiscs after capturing the raw RF from the disc.
As the capture hardware and method are agnostic, over the last few years software decoding abilities have now been broadened past just Laserdisc for HiFi FM Audio, colour-under-tape media such as VHS, S-VHS, U-Matic, Betamax, Video8, Hi8, but this also supports formats like EIAJ, SMPTE Type-C and development for formats like Betacam have started.
For all the detailed information and starting origins of the project please look at the links below.

First time checking the comments on this properly, thank you! and more hardware is comming!
Any idea how soon an update might be coming? Any improvements in features with the newer version?
The DdD is pretty much in a affixed state, some maintenance to BOM and software is all that's really planned, as today we have the MISRC in development with working base ADC hardware there will be a big announcement once the software side has been polished.
Thanks for the response. Do think anyone will be selling fully populated and tested MISRC or DD boards? Do you do that? Appreciate all the wiki work you have done but the steps to get a working board still seems daunting. Looking forward to the leader expensive MISRC, and hoping some comp elected boards might be easy to purchase soon.
Yeah direct ordering is now on the kofi store, https://ko-fi.com/harrypm/shop
Hello, the current docs are all based around these links, the orignal DdD repo has been left in a archive state practically at this point. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1k2bPPwHPoG7xXpS1NCYEe3w_jD_ts0yRCp-2aQ6QoKY https://github.com/happycube/ld-decode/wiki/Domesday-Duplicator If you need direct help feel free to reachout via email harry@opcomedia.com or via discord: therealharrypm
