  • Hi, in the PCB schematic there is R1 4.7K resistor, which is not mentioned in Bill of materials. Is this some kind of issue or...?

  • if I choose PCB+Assembly, will I receive the entire PCB as shown with all the components soldered?

Yes, for PCB assembly orders, we will purchase the components and assemble them based on the BOM provided by the author.

  • I have also done this project. However, when I saw that it wasn't working, I thought I'd check the comments. Unfortunately, there are others who have had the same problems. I wish I had started the project by reading the comments first. In this project, like other friends, I was stuck in the part of the stepper motor not working. We are waiting for your urgent help in order not to throw the project away.

I'm in the same situation, I've tried with two drives (TMC2209 e TMC2208 ) and it doesn't work. I used this thermistor model not even measuring the temperature worked properly - https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/1005005911756243.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.125.744acaa4wUI6P1&gatewayAdapt=glo2bra

  • hello, I'm assembling this project, but the stepper motor when turning on it locks the shaft and doesn't turn, when I press the wrist wrench it releases the shaft again, I don't know what's happening because all material is the same as yours

The Stepper driver might not have enough power. If your're using the A4988 it has a potentiometer and you could adjust the current with that potentiometer.

I am using a tmc2208 and I have already adjusted the power. The problem is that the arduino nano burns and I used the same components that you indicate, it's more and I assembled 3 pcbs and the same thing happens to me in all of them. I have also tested with the a4988 and the same thing happens on all boards. Besides, the fan connector does not work or turn on the led or pass current.

I have the same problem, did you find a solution for it?

    Engineer 2023-08-06 15:32:25Reply

    have you resolve?

    Engineer 2023-11-13 04:48:10Reply

Hi. I solved by changing the driver to the TB6600. Though the wiring my change, it's still a great option. In general, any driver with current control does the trick.

  • Hi. I've been working on this project too, and for those concerned about the stepper not rotating, it is a result of the stepper driver used in this video. I changed the driver for this one: https://www.amazon.com/tb6600/s?k=tb6600 the TB6600 works like a charm. As I've read in several posts about the stepper getting stuck or not rotating at all, it happens because the module is kinda old and does not have internal current control. Furthermore, I measured the current myself, and as expected, the stepper was consuming around as twice power as it should. So, I recommend you to choose another stepper driver that does have internal current controller, and has the rated current needed.

  • Hi guys, is it possible to use the TMC2209 v4 driver on this board?

  • hello same problem as the others. The red led lights up indicating heating but the green led remains off. I tried the 2208 and a4988 nothing to do the stepper motor remains blocked if you press the button and even if I adjust with the potentiometer that I had to connect to the arduino board, nothing happens the motor remains powered but does not move. I tried with a breadboard to insert only the stepper and the motor with arduino and it works so there is an error in the pcb or in the code you created. You can answer because there are many of us who have failed.

  • Hey, I used your design and tried to make my own filament maker. However, I do not get the results you got in the video. When I upload the code, I have the red LED light on, instead of the green one. Furthermore, I have no idea which pins should the wires coming from the board to the LCD should be connected to. I have a feeling that you didn't make certain things clear enough, and so I am kind of stuck at this stage of the project, therefore some explanation from you would be very welcome. Regards, Caesar.

  • Hi, thank you for the great videos and projects you are sharing with us. Can you lease verify or update the component list of this project as I noticed that the mosfet you used in the video is different than the listed one also some components are missing like the capacitors and resistors details, sorry if I'm asking too much I'm just a beginner and like to built the PET machine and hope it works fine. Thank you
