  • If you turn the pot fully 1 direction, you will have no sound. There is no reason to draw extra current. Remove the ground lug. Drill out the trimmer via on pin1. The trimmer is drawing more current than the entire circuit takes. I am done trying to explain.

  • I know how trimmers work. Still waiting for you to post the schematic you made so others can see it is not the original schematic used. By setting up a voltage divider, you are not letting the voltage swing when the signal changes. Just trying to warn people who might buy this due to lack of your schematic.

    Now the schematic that I made is available. Just remembering that, in the original, R2 and R3 are indeed an voltage divider. Like I said, if you solder a 8K2 resistor between the first and second pad of the trimmer (left to right), it'll wire just like the original schematic.

  • Yes it will work but you are drawing unnecessary current. Draw the schematic and post it here ,you will see the original fuzzface does not have a voltage trimmer set up that way. For people using this with a battery it will shorten the battery life.

    I made like that to precise bias the circuit. You can install like the original, with just a 8.2K resistor, between the first and second pad of the trimmer (from left to right). It'll wire just like the original.

  • You have 1 end of the 8.2k/trimmer going to ground. That is not correct. These boards are not usable as posted unless you cut a trace from "chassis pot" to trimmer and drill out the via on the first pin of the trimmer as that goes to ground too!

    I've made 23 of these Fuzz Faces, using the same board, without these corrections. Install a 3296W 10K trimmer and aim for 4.5v (you can use the "bias" pad to measure.
