This may be due to the destination. The default is DHL shipping, you can choose a cheaper shipping method.

  • Thanks for your cool open hardware project! And thanks for the nice documentation, too.

  • Very nice project and amazingly described and detailed. Well done! I wish the source files for the pcb abd the casing were made available too (and why not, made with open-source software ;) )

Thanks but ... I'm sorry ? All source files for the PCB and the case are freely open and available both on this page (see links within the article) and on the github quoted at the end of the article. What in particular you are not finding here ?

  • Hi, I have had two of these assembled and checked visually, with stm32f105rbt6 from different sources. I can not flash them, as neither does not get recognized as a USB device at all, with neither jumper setting. Of course, I tried on two laptops, with the tool, and with manually installing drivers beforehand, using a USB C cable to USB C ports on the laptops... As I've seen many a hidden/semi-hidden instruction in the assembly instructions, such as the VCAP1, VCAP2 and PA2 shorting, is there anything required that I am missing to be able to flash the bootloader?

i can share your pain windows 10 does not identify the driver in DFU mode or Not in DFU mode. i had bit of a learning curve to get it to work... on windows 10 when its detected upgrade the driver and install the STM Device in DFU mode and force windows to use that driver you should be good to get the bootloader loaded.. now when flashing the app move the jumper and then connect again and if it detects anything other then STM Device in DFU mode then force windows to use the driver again.... you should be good to load in the app at that point. please also be aware that in some cases windows will not detect anything and then unplug and try again if you keep doing this and nothing you have a build problem. hope this helps....

It was the USB-C cable, for one of them... USB A-A cable made one of them work. Might help someone...

  • HI, with STM32F105 you can safely short VCAP1 and VCAP2 with a tindrop (or a 0Ohm resistor) PA2 is hardcoded on the pcb, so you don't have to care about it In order the board to be recognized as an DFU USB device, check that: 1) The STM32f105 is correctly powered (+3.3v on relevants pins) 2) The 8Mhz frequency from the quartz (on relevant pins of the stm32) 3) Contionuity of the two USB+ and USB- wires from the STM to the USB connector If all 3 srteps above are veriifed, there's no reason not to be able to flash the device.
