Live telemetry and ECU for Formula SAE
Our team, Scuderia UFABC, represents Federal University of ABC in the combustion category at Formula SAE. The was founded in 2015, by students aiming to learn outside the classroom, and truly apply knowledge into real situations.
For 2021 we want to improve the electronics in our car, with live telemetry and better ECU controls, like a closed loop circuit for correct ignition and injector calibration.
At the university, we have a laboratory and a workshop, where we hold meetings and work directly with the car. We had the opportunity to participate twice in the Formula SAE Brazil competition, where we were able to present to the judges our theoretical project, cost report and sales plan for our vehicle, tests in which we receive excellent feedback as well as tips for enhancements as adjustments. In 2019, we took the RM-01 (our first prototype) to compete and, during the technical inspection, it received a lot of praise and there were few improvements to be made for a beginner team. We are proud to be a team of almost 50 people, which reinvents itself every year, working to improve the professional and personal side of each member. And everything we have achieved so far works as a great motivation to make Scudeira UFABC even bigger.
