Description
Practical Electronics PicNMix May 2020 PCB - Audio Spectrum display
Using a dsPIC33 DSP processor, the circuit combines an electret microphone and a low cost 320 x 240 colour graphics LCD panel. Two buttons allow the trace to be held, and the span of the display to change between 500Hz and 20KHz.
There is over 64KB of code space remaining to allow further enhancements - all code if freely downloadable from the magazine's website.
A demonstration of the circuit can be seen here: https://youtu.be/mGIGxUU9w1k
