Variable ND Sunglasses
Note : Please make sure that the Filters you use have protection against UV rays, this is not common on camera filters so you may want to add some UV filters on top so they don't damage your eyes.
In this video, https://youtu.be/oTtvjKaMzOg I explore the idea of creating DIY sunglasses using variable ND filters and 3D printing technology. The project involves designing and printing the sunglasses frames, understanding the functionality of variable ND filters, and experimenting with different materials like PLA, TPU, and metal. I address challenges such as ensuring durability, fitting the frames properly, and dealing with polarizing properties. I also conduct drop tests to showcase the strength of 3D printed parts and provide insights into the potential of 3D printing for customized eyewear.
