    You can use potentiometers B or A - but the smoothness of the adjustment will not work correctly

    Are you talking about the one circled in the picture?
    It has the correct markings
    500 - 50pf
    501 - 500pf
    502 - 5nf
    and so on...
    you can install 47pf (470)

    You can put any (in general, film capacitors are valued in guitar pedals, like WIMA) modern multilayer ceramic ones are more than suitable, they have a wide range of capacitance with the same size...
